The road of death is a road that we all must travel all alone.  The reward from this journey is knowing that there is a loving God who is waiting on the other side to comfort each of us as he guides us to our new home.  Please remember that life has many struggle, but with the help of God, we are equipped to over cone all obstacles in our lives.  I know that my departure has created a gloomy situation in each of your lives but keep smiling and surely the sun will eventually shine through because death is evitable.  When you are feeling sad, remember these words, "grieve not for me because God has set me free."  My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.  On April 8, 2024, at St Joseph Hospital Derrick L. Walker drooped his robe of flesh and went to be with the Lord.  This has left a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Walk-thru viewing will be held on Thursday April, 18, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Stiney's Funeral Home.  Celebration of life on Friday April 19, 2024 at 11:00am at Greater Pentecostal Temple, 5905 S. Okatie Hwy, Hardeeville, SC 29927
