When I am gone, release me, let me go

I have so many things to see and do

You must not tie yourself to me with tears

Be happy that I have had so many years

I gave you my love, you can only guess

How much you gave me in happiness

I think you for the love each have shown

But now it is time I traveled on alone

So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must

Then let your grief be comforted by trust

It is only for a while that we must part

On the evening of Monday January 14, 2019, In God's infinite wisdom he called Mrs.Vernita Rivers 66, of Hardeeville SC,  to exchange time for eternity.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leroy Bright & Chaney Bell Bright.

Vernita's memories will forever be cherished by her devoted husband Mr. Alfred Rivers; her loving children Alfred (Shantrell) Rivers Jr., & Andrea Rivers, her siblings; Thomas (Lucille) Bright, David (Shirley) Bright, Shirley (Leroy) Saxon, Leroy Bright Jr., Sandra (Robert) Saxon and a host of  family and friends.

There will be no public viewing. 

Attend Her Celebration of Life Services on Saturday, January 19, 2019  at 12:00 Noon. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 3709 Okatie Highway, Okatie, South Carolina, 29909. Interment Joe Williams Cemetery, Hardeeville SC.
