Were it possible for me to alleviate the hurt and pain you, Melissa and all persons who knew and loved your dear Sister Ossie feel, I would. Instead, all that I am able to do is convey the depth of love in my heart for you and your family. A sisters’ love is a precious remarkable gift. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met your Sister, whose beautiful spirit was welcoming and warm. Though the days, weeks and months ahead will at times be difficult, please take comfort in knowing that you were a loving and attentive brother to Ossie. Rest assured knowing that she has transitioned from a plane of existence fraught with hardship to a bright and glorious Heaven where she will never know pain. She will never know sorrow. Ossie Washington, a recipient of God’s incomparable love and grace has gone home to the Lord. And in the right course of time, you shall see her again.
Blessings to you brother and Melissa, with all my heart.
